The Setting
The back sun-porch of the Calder Home on the
outskirts of Maynord, Texas, one hot summer afternoon
in late August, 1971.

was first presented by the McCarter Theatre Company at Princeton, New
Jersey, in March, 1980, as part of a double bill
with Lone Star, under the title
1959 PINK THUNDERBIRD.
