Winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and a Broadway smash last season, ReAct is delighted to present a new local production of DRIVING MISS DAISY by Alfred Uhry. This timeless and beloved American play tells the affecting story of the decades-long relationship between a stubborn Jewish matriarch and her compassionate African American chauffeur. "UNCLE HIDEKI & THE EMPTY NEST" GRAPHIC 2012 STAGED PLAY READING SERIES
ReAct's 13th Annual Staged Play Reading Series co-presented with the Elliott Bay Book Company includes an exciting mix of new hits and stage classics. Included among the plays we're presenting and considering will be special celebratory stagings of UNCLE HIDEKI and UNCLE HIDEKI & THE EMPTY NEST by Jean Davies Okimoto, in honor of ReAct company member and community activist Herb Tsuchiya's 80th Birthday.
