Thirteen American bowlers, twenty-six bowling shoes, two tribes,
one Survivor, and a bunch of terrific prizes...That was the
formula behind ReAct's "SURVIVOR" Bowl-O-Rama Challenge.
Halfway through this year's Bowl-O-Rama, many of ReAct's
bowlers took time out from their pledge bowling to compete.
Pitting the best against the best in a competition which often
brings out the worst, each participant tried to outplay, outbowl
and outlast the others in this quest to be declared the Ultimate
ReAct Bowl-O-Rama Survivor.
The game began with the players randomly
drawing straws to divide into two teams, "Kucha" and "Ogakor"
each with the use of one single team ball which they all selected
and had to share. The two teams bowled against each other
for prize reward challenges, as well as immunity challenges.
The team that lost immunity was required to go to Tribal Council
where they would have to vote one of their fellow tribe members
out of the competition.
Ogakor took the lead in the first round
winning the coveted Immunity Idol and sending Kucha to Tribal
Council where they heartlessly voted off their youngest competitor
first, in a close and cruel 4 to 3 decision. Frame by frame
the competition continued, as one by one players were eliminated
at the dreaded Tribal Council. When only eight remained, the
two teams merged and the game for "survival" changed as participants
now competed head to head.
As more players were voted off, soon only
the final four remained: Arne Moen, Colleen Parker, Barry
Snarr and Beth Ann Warner. In an exciting immunity challenge,
Colleen managed to out score Arne, who had won the previous
four immunities. Allied with Beth Ann and Barry, this gave
them the opportunity to finally remove their hard-to-beat
opponent from the game. When Barry won the final immunity
challenge, he voted Colleen out, chosing Beth Ann to face
him for the final vote. All eleven previously voted out members
returned to the last tribal council as the jury and in an
exciting seven to four vote, Barry L. Snarr of Seattle, Washington
became the Ultimate ReAct Bowl-O-Rama Survivor.
Dimpled host, David Hsieh who presided over
the competion was pleased and intrigued by the game, amazed
at some of the voting strategies and alliances that formed,
as well as impressed by some of the terrific bowling that
took place under the pressure of competition. Congratulations
to Barry and all the survivors. The tribe has spoken.
